Sorting of household waste
Depending on the country, there are different waste collection systems, which lead to different tasks within sorting technology. For example, packaging waste usually consists of various plastic materials, paper, and glass, whereas in the United Kingdom it mainly consists of dry, mixed waste (paper, cardboard, films, plastic packaging, metals, aluminium, and in many cases glass). Heavy, mixed waste usually contains larger items, which means that the sorting of household waste is very different. This, in turn, means that Redwave has extensive experience in removing and separating various materials from the household stream, thereby ensuring maximum purity of the sorted fractions.

Separation and sorting of residual waste provide economic benefits, higher plant capacity, and high quality/purity in the final fractions. Redwave has developed a machine that can sort household waste as well as the associated contaminants. You can read more about the sorting machine here: 2i.
